World Athletics to bring in cheek swab test
A simple way to determine males and females for fairness in sport
World Athletics have determined to bring in a simple yet effective measure to protect women’s sport - a cheek swab test.
It is a one-time genetic test that definitively determines whether an athlete is male or female.
It is non-invasive and only needs to be conducted once.
The test will ensure that women’s sport is for women only.
It will be a “pre-clearance requirement” for all athletes competing in female events.
The new regulations will include a once-off swab test to detect the presence of the SRY gene, which is part of the Y chromosome and is crucial in the development of male characteristics.
A dried blood spot test may also be implemented to determine testosterone levels.
Speaking at a media conference, World Athletics President Sebastian Coe said the “necessary” process would not be invasive.
“We will doggedly protect the female category and do whatever is necessary to do it, and we're not just talking about it,” Mr Coe said.
He added: "It's important to do it because it maintains everything that we've been talking about, and particularly recently, about not just talking about the integrity of female women's sport, but actually guaranteeing it.”
“We feel this is a really important way of providing confidence and maintaining that absolute focus on the integrity of competition."
The decision was made in light of new research by World Athletics showing there was already a “significant performance gap” before the onset of male puberty.
The regulations are expected to be in place for the Tokyo’s 2025 World Athletics Championships to be held in September.
If transwomen really were women, they wouldn’t have a problem giving a cheek swab to prove it.
But of course, they are not women and are outraged that besides what we can all see with our own eyes, a simple cheek swab will rule them out of women’s sport.
Of course, they can still compete in male, open or mixed divisions.
But the issue for them is they want to gaslight us all into accepting them in women’s spaces.
All sports could easily follow suit, ensuring women’s sport remains safe, fair and dignified for all competitors.
