UK sports associations make major rule changes

No more males in female soccer, cricket or netball

It is utterly shameful and incredibly embarrassing that so many sporting associations have allowed males in female sport for so long.

Sporting organisations in the UK have now been forced to back peddle quickly to ensure that women’s sport is for females only.

The national governing body of football in England, the Football Association as well as England Netball and the governing body of cricket, the England and Wales Cricket Board, are now banning trans women from competing in the women’s competitions.

How insane that they ever felt it was right to protect and promote males in women’s sport!

Sport has been divided into male and female categories for a reason - the anatomy and biology make a difference when it comes to fairness, dignity and safety on the playing field.

It is not rocket science, it is simply biology 101

And yet, because a handful of males insisted they ‘felt’ like a woman, these codes allowed them to dominate and impose themselves on women in sport.

Now the egg is on their faces and the threat of legal action has caused sporting bodies to scurry and quickly change their rules.

The UK football governing body issued this statement.

The Supreme Court’s ruling on the 16 April means that we will be changing our policy. Transgender women will no longer be able to play in women’s football in England, and this policy will be implemented from 1 June 2025.”

Well bravo, better late than never I suppose! The thing is these males have never been banned from participating

They have always been allowed to participate in male divisions, mixed or open competitions.

English Cricket and Netball have also changed their rules to come into line with the clarification in law.

England Netball said: “The female category will be exclusively for players born female, irrespective of their gender identity, whilst mixed netball will serve as the sport’s inclusive category, allowing players to compete under the gender with which they identify.’’

“This new policy is designed to prioritise and uphold fairness on court within the female category.”

It is utterly disgraceful that this has even had to be clarified in law.

Women have always deserved sex-based rights, protections and provisions because we are different to males.

It is not discrimination, it is about safety, fairness and dignity. Australian sporting codes have shown no appetite what-so-ever to do the right thing regarding female sport.

It is only a matter of time though until the law suits begin and common sense returns.

Until then, Australia will remain the laughing stock of the world for denying science and rejecting reality when it comes to humans and our biological reality.
