Three female volleyball teams forfeit over male inclusion

Three women’s volleyball teams have so far refused to play scheduled games against San Jose State due to their inclusion of a male player named Blaire Fleming.

He is now the object of a class-action lawsuit filed against the NCAA for their policy that puts the girls at risk and creates an unfair playing field.

Flemming is 6’1 and assisted the team to unfair victories.

More than a dozen female athletes, including one of the player's current teammates, are now accusing the NCAA of knowingly violating a law that prohibits sex-based discrimination by allowing a transgender player to compete in women's sports.

Amid the uproar over Fleming, Southern Utah and Boise State both refused to play against San Jose State last month, albeit without giving a specific reason as to why.

And now the University of Wyoming has followed suit and forfeited its proposed game with the school on Saturday, again without providing a reason for doing so.

Males have an unfair advantage over females in sport due to their superior strength, speed and stamina. The reason there are male and female divisions in sport is to ensure safe and fair playing fields for female athletes. Allowing males to compete as females makes an utter mockery of biological reality. Even one of Fleming's own team mates has spoken out about the unfair and unsafe nature of allowing him to play in the women’s division.

One of Fleming's teammates and former roommates, Brooke Slusser, has said the player previously admitted to being biologically male, per Outkick.

Slusser, who has joined the lawsuit filed against the NCAA, claims she felt concerned for her safety after discovering one of her teammates was transgender, which she says she was unaware of despite sharing rooms together on team trips.

The San Jose State co-captain also expressed concerns about Fleming competing against female players on the court.

'Brooke estimates that Fleming’s spikes were traveling upward of 80 mph, which was faster than she had ever seen a woman hit a volleyball,' Slusser’s complaint read.

'The girls were doing everything they could to dodge Fleming’s spikes but still could not fully protect themselves.'

Australian female athletes are forced to participate with males or self-exclude. Unlike the USA, there are no protections in law for female sex-based rights, sports, spaces or services.

Two female soccer teams forfeited against the Flying Bats which has up to five male players in the women’s team, but they did so under threat of fines and expulsion.
