A rational and reasonable explanation of why we need to protect women’s sport

Head of World Athletics and candidate for the top spot on the International Olympics Committee (IOC) Seb Coe has told Piers Morgan that we are in danger of losing women’s sport.

He has unequivocally committed to a restoration of science and common sense to the world of sport by ensuring women’s sport is protected and for females only. 

The whole reason there are separate divisions to begin with is to ensure safety, fairness and dignity for women. 

Coe has been one of the rare rational voices in this space and has proven time and again, that it is possible and necessary to have only females in women’s sport.

He posted part of the interview on X stating:

We have to make decisions to protect women's sports. Otherwise, we would lose women's sports. It's as simple as that.

Had a great chat with @PiersUncensored. We talked about the importance of protecting women's sport, how our organisations should be forging closer relationships with governments so they can harness the power of sport for the benefit of health, education and the vibrancy of local communities.
