Girls refuse to run against male athlete
Jennifer Sey from XX-XY athletics posted this video and commentary to her socials:
Tonight in Washington state, nearly half the Camas High School girls cross country team refused to compete against a boy on their own team.
He switched from the boys’ team just one month ago.
Now he’s placing in every meet.
Courage always wins.

A large number of female cross country runners refused to compete against the male athlete who entered their women’s category.
We can cheer these girls on for doing the right thing and taking a stand.
But we must also acknowledge their loss.
These girls forfeited their right to participate in their beloved sport.
These girls forfeited their opportunity to win or place in the women’s race.
These girls self-excluded because the adults in their lives failed them dismally.
It should never be up to the girls to take action.
Their parents should have drawn the line in the sand.
The officials should have said no.
The sporting authorities should have said no.
The legislators should be protecting the dignity of these girls and ensuring safe and fair conditions for them to compete.
How utterly shameful of each and every adult that forced these girls into this situation.
And how utterly shameful of Australian adults who refuse to stand up and protect our female athletes forced under the threat of legal penalty to compete against males in tennis, football, AFL, soccer, hockey, netball and more.
