A new documentary has been released, exposing the lies and damage of “affirmation” treatments on young people.

AFFIRMATION GENERATION: The Lies of Transgender Medicine features the stories of six young detransitioners (three men and three women) who sought medical help but instead were irreversibly harmed by their doctors following the one-size-fits-all “gender-affirming care” medical treatment.

Detransitioners Michelle, Laura, Cat, David, Joel and Abel tell the stories of their gender distress, transgender medicalization, and subsequent detransition.

Without diagnostic clarity or mental health evaluations, their doctors quickly affirmed them as “transgender,” and mindlessly ushered them along the path of medical transition. (The “gender-affirming care” is the only treatment recommended by the American Academy of Paediatrics.) 

These young people were harmed irrevocably by the doctors they trusted.

Binary spokeswoman Kirralie Smith said this documentary is definitely worth the watch.

“These stories are powerful and heartbreaking,” she said.

“These and so many other young people were deceived by governments, health care professionals and social media that radical medical interventions would help them buy the lie they could change sex.

“No one can change sex.

“These beautiful people are now victims of a harmful ideology that has robbed them of their fertility, sexual function and left them with other serious side effects.”

Ms Smith urged Anyone considering undergoing ‘affirmation’ treatments to watch the documentary.

“It is cruel and harmful to lie to people struggling with their identity,” she said.

“This documentary helps spell out why.”
