New laws planned by the Tasmanian government could make it a crime to talk your child out of pursuing puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones or sex-change surgery.

As a parent and concerned citizen, I want to stand up for children and their parents by asking you to drop the proposed ban on ‘conversion practices’ that will make it a crime to protect children from dangerous sex-change treatments.

Parents should have the right to say “no” if their children want to ‘transition’ their gender with puberty blockers and sex-change surgery before they’re even 18 years old.

How Tasmanians like me bring up our children is our business.

Stop these laws that could strip caring parents of their rights to raise their children the way they see fit, without government interference.

We request that you take strong action now to stop this attack on parental rights – and just let kids be kids.
