Politicians, health practitioners and parents turn out for the book tour of Devastated: How gender ideology is destroying Australian families

Last week I had the privilege to visit Perth to promote the Binary book Devastated: how gender ideology is tearing Australian families apart.

The first event was a morning tea hosted by Independent state MP Sophia Moermond. As a self-described TERF (trans exclusionary radical feminist), Sophia hosted and spoke with power and grace. 

I spoke about the harrowing experience of editing and compiling the stories in the book. 

The reality is gender ideology is destroying countless families in Australia. 

It is a completely avoidable tragedy that is creating a cohort of life-long medical consumers that are left with devastating, irreversible consequences. 

 

Western Australian mother of a trans-identified daughter, Tess Hackett, shared her devastating story. Also known as chapter two in the book, Tess described the failure of the education and health systems and how they are leaving children bereft of family support and hope. These systems, enabled by the political class, result in dreadful mental, physical and emotional consequences. You can watch Tess’ incredible speech here: 

The following evening, I attended an event hosted by the Civilizationists and Augosto Zimmerman's WALTA. The author's event featured a spotlight on nine books and was a great time to speak to supporters in Perth. I am very grateful for their support in making this mini tour happen.
