A vile male Tasmanian criminal who raped his 3-year-old daughter while wearing women’s clothing, has been denied access to a female prison.

His application brought the trans inmate issue to a head resulting in the state government declaring a ban for any male who wishes to be housed in female prisons.

Multiple applications by the inmate for transfer to a women’s prison have been refused by Deputy Premier, Attorney-General and Corrections Minister Guy Barnett, who has now ordered the state’s corrections service to give “absolute priority” to the safety of female prisoners.

“The presence of any male prisoner in a women’s prison would present unacceptable safety risks to female prisoners,” Mr Barnett told The Australian.

The Tasmanian government’s hard line comes amid mounting pressure on state governments to act after Northern Territory Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro last month became the first leader of any Australian jurisdiction to ban trans offenders from women’s prisons. That declaration came in the wake of revelations by The Australian that a father who sexually abused his five-year-old daughter is being held in a Victorian female correctional centre because he now identifies as a woman, and that several women in prison in South Australian have been attacked – and in at least one case sexually assaulted – by notorious trans inmate Krista Richards.

It is beyond comprehension that any sane person in 2025 could be convinced that a male can become a woman. 

Violent male criminals are not women.

Males who participate in female sporting divisions are not women.

Males who wear women’s clothing are not women.

Males who take drugs, have surgery or simply declare they are women are lying. 

No human can change sex.

It is dangerous and disgraceful that politicians have rewritten man made laws that defy the laws of nature. This puts women and children in harm’s way. The only line that can be drawn is one based in reality backed by evidence-based science.

Well done to the Tasmanian state government on declaring no males in female prisons. Now it is time to do the right thing and get all males out of women’s sport, spaces and services.
