Males banned from female Olympic Sport

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) have indicated a realignment with reality, science, safety, fairness and dignity for women.

Males will no longer be permitted to compete in female divisions of Olympic sport.

No more males punching women in the head and calling it sport. No more middle-aged, mediocre males like weightlifter Laurel Hubbard stealing places from deserving females. This is very good news.

Until now each sport was able to determine its own participation rules. But after the horrifying scenes of the 2024 Olympics, watching male boxers Imane Khelif of Algeria and Lin Yu-ting of Chinese Taipei punching women for all the world to see, the IOC is drawing a line in the sand.

New IOC president Kirsty Coventry, is about to do the right thing and protect the female category. It comes ahead of the 2028 Olympics set to be held in the USA. President Trump has already made it unlawful for males to participate in female sport and said he would refuse visas for any male who attempted to participate in the female categories of the Olympic Games.

A science-based review into trans or males with female sex characteristics unsurprisingly found that they retain advantages over females in sport.

Presenting the evidence last week, medical and scientific director Dr Jane Thornton said research showed there were “physical advantages to being born male that remained with athletes” in what Elon Musk sarcastically referred to as a “mind-blowing discovery”.

The study also found that those who had undergone treatment to lower their testosterone levels also held advantages, and according to The Times, as a result, the IOC are set to impose a blanket ban on transgender athletes.

There is a reason there has been separate male and female divisions. Our physiology is different regardless of what drugs or surgeries we undergo. Sport is one area where it is necessary to keep those divisions separate.

It is only a matter of time now until grass roots sporting organisations will have to realign with reality and stop gaslighting women who are calling for single sex categories. Trans identified males can always continue to play sport in male categories. It is time to make women’s sport safe, fair and dignified for all females.
