Labor MP supports gender treatment inquiry

Greg Donnelly MLC calls out the harms of gender affirmation pathways

NSW Labor MLC Greg Donnelly has taken the opportunity to speak in Parliament about the harms of gender ideology.

He has been a long-time advocate of the reality of biological sex and the safeguarding of children from sexualised concepts.

During his speech, he referenced many of the books we have highlighted over the years that have been aimed at children as young as 3, with the sole aim to sexualise and confuse minors.

Donnelly particularly highlighted the danger of deceiving children into thinking they can somehow change tier sex.

Regarding the statements “Only you know whether you are a boy or a girl” and “being born in the wrong body”, you do not need to be an experienced paediatric endrocronologist to see where this is leading to.

I have said for some years now, that the so-called “affirmation approach” including the off-label use of synthetic puberty blocker and cross-sex hormones, widely prescribed by state operated gender clinics, and a number of specialists, GPs, psychologists and others to treat children and adolescents who may be or are gender diverse or gender dysphoric, will go down in history as one of Australia’s worst medical scandals.

The Labor MLC, a lone voice on the the left side of politics, went on to call for a comprehensive inquiry into experimental medical practices that leave children with catastrophic, irreversible harm.

The time has well past for Australia to undertake an independent, comprehensive public inquiry into youth gender medical treatment. I note the recent announcement by the Federal Minister for Health of, what is in my opinion, a far too narrow and restricted  review of this significant medical issue impacting on countless numbers of vulnerable children and adolescents across Australia. It is well, well short of what must be urgently undertaken. They deserve nothing less.

Donnelly is 100% correct. It is well past time. Children deserve nothing less than a comprehensive study and investigation that leaves no room for doubt about the potential and real harms these pathways cause.

The rest of the Labor Party and the Greens refuse because they know it will blow their trans narrative out of the water.
