Kirralie Smith's vilification decisions postponed

After two years of going back and forwards to court, the decision for both vilification hearings has been postponed. The decisions were due this Friday, July 25.

Kirralie was notified via the Solve Legal team that they have been postponed until Tuesday, August 26, 2025: “Due the flooding of the Downing Centre and unavailability of Chambers for her honour, Deputy Chief Magistrate Freund has been unable to complete her decision.”

Two separate hearings took place earlier this year. One in February and the other in April. The cases were brought by two males upset that Kirralie identified them as playing in female soccer teams and advocated for women’s sex-based sports and spaces as a result.

Kirralie is unable to discuss the details of the cases but some media outlets have reported in more detail.

We will keep you posted when the decisions are handed down.
