Gender critical doctor wins $1.6 million payout

There are a lot more legal suits on the horizon

Lawsuits and out-of-court settlements are set to increase around the world as reality sets back in surrounding gender ideology. No human can change sex and the blanket approach to “affirming” a lie is being halted in most western nations, besides Canada and Australia.

It is only a matter of time until desisters, detransitioners and sacked medical practitioners start bringing expensive legal claims.

In the USA, child psychiatrist, Allan Josephson, has just won a $1.6 million settlement after being wrongfully fired from the University of Louisville in 2019. The experienced doctor had criticised the rushed use of off label treatments such as puberty blockers and cross sex hormones for children.

His public remarks were recorded and used against him after he spoke on a Heritage Foundation panel. He was deeply concerned by the fact gender clinics were not addressing underlying issues and mental illness when it came to gender dysphoria.

“Transgender ideology. . . is neglectful of the need for developing coping skills and problem-solving skills in children,” he said on the panel.

“Of course you affirm the child and love the child, but you don't affirm a bad idea,” Josephson said on the panel.

Dr Josephson suffered from reputational damage, along with reduced wages, retirement benefits, and academic travel funds. He refused to back down and has now been awarded the $1.6 million payout.

“I'm a doctor who pursues the truth for his patients, so when Trump says there are two sexes—male and female—I’m encouraged by that,” Josephson said.

“I wanted it actually to go to court, because I thought that would be the final vindication,” Josephson said. “The personal cost was so enormous. I'm getting older, so this came at a good time, and there was a good settlement.”

It is only a matter of time until more lawsuits flood the courts as the irreversible harm done to children and medical practitioners is realised.
