Dr Louise Kirby dismantles gender ideology

An important podcast by the Australian Doctors Federation

The Australian Doctors Federation has published a podcast titled Let's Talk Medicine Podcast - A Critical Child Protection Issue featuring Dr Louise Kirby.

The Australian medical doctor has practised medicine for over 30 years, the past 17 years in rural NSW.

During the 20 minute recording, Dr Kirby warns about the harms of gender ideology and poor practices impacting children.

“It is important in this emotive area to keep to facts and evidence. Firstly, there are two biological sexes, male and female, which are fixed. No one can actually change sex.”

Dr Kirby warned that using terrible threats such as “would you prefer a live son or a dead daughter” is manipulative and not evidence-based.

She also dismantles the notion that transphobia is akin to homophobia. It is not.

Sexual orientation relies on sex but gender identity denies the reality of sex.

This video is well worth watching, noting the main points as follows.

We owe it to children to ensure they’re optimally supported.

Two biological sexes exist: male and female.

The current ideology is causing irreversible damage to children.

There is no clear evidence base for gender affirmation interventions.

Puberty blockers can have serious side effects.

No long-term studies demonstrate the safety of these treatments.

Trans ideology can harm children destined to be homosexual adults.

Many individuals regret their hormonal treatments and surgeries.

Emotional support and teaching resilience are crucial for children.
