A degrading sexual image is plastered on a wall in Victoria

This is what the normalisation of gender ideology leads to: images depicting sexual perversion on our streets.

This wall sized image of a “furry female” is on the side of a building in Cecil St, Fitzroy Melbourne. It is a dehumanising, humiliating image of a female in sexual submission. It is on the street and in full view of children.

The image sparked outrage online and many organisations and individuals have called for the image to be removed. Not-for-profit charity Collective Shout are campaigning to have the “chilling image” removed, arguing it glamorised violence against women.”

Collective Shout director Melinda Tankard Reist said the artwork was “porn-themed, adult sexual fetishes imposed on a nonconsenting audience”.

“It depicts the public humiliation of women at a time when we’re expressing concern from rising rates of violence against women,” she said.

“We’ve just come to the end of domestic and family violence prevention month and to see this – this is the eroticisation of violence against women.”

Several sexual assault survivors have approached Ms Tankard Reist to inform her the mural is “triggering”, with some saying it “makes a mockery of the abuse done to them”.

“We’re pleased the council is investigating, we are pleased to hear that council did not pre-approve this and we look forward to this image coming down” she said.

Gender ideology attempts to normalise sexual perversions. It has no qualms with sexualising children, promoting violence against women, and pushing all sorts of boundaries in an attempt to be accepted by the public.

This is not acceptable. 

It is degrading and must be called out for what it is. 

Violence against women, public pornography and exposing children to sexual imagery is utterly appalling and has no place in civil society. No amount of “normalising” sexual violence, furries, transgender or transhumanism is safe for our children. No amount of normalising these images will help women trapped in domestic violence. 

This has to stop. It is cruel and unkind, and all based on lies and deception.
