Selina Soule finished eighth in a recent state open competition, missing out on the opportunity to compete in front of college selectors. Only the top 6 got that opportunity
Last week we reported on USA Powerlifting excluding transgender competitors.
USA Powerlifting has responded to the transgender agenda by publishing a policy that explains why it is not appropriate or fair for transgender athletes to participate in the sport.
Transgenders in sport is a hot topic. Sporting organisations are currently reviewing their transgender policies as an increasing number of biological men are succeeding in women’s sports. From cycling to weightlifting to handball and football, biological men are taking the podium in the women’s arena.
This is staggering. Up is down, in is out, and ‘not complicated’ in this story means ‘couldn’t be more complicated if you tried!”
Ann Paula Henkel (Connelly), a female Olympian, has written an open letter to the International Olympic Committee. Henkel is a 4 time Olympian for Brazilian Volleyball and bronze medal winner. The athlete has raised some very important concerns about biological male transgender athletes being allowed to compete in women’s events.
Wide World of Sports recently came out with the headline, “Hannah Mouncey helps Australia qualify for Women's World Handball Championships.”
