On Thursday night, the ABC aired Q+A, a live program about ethics in sport. It was entirely unethical, with white middle-aged males attempting to defend penises in women’s sport and change rooms.
In a Canberra Times opinion piece last week, transgender athlete Hannah Mouncey weighed into the debate about Claire Chandler’s Save Women’s Sports Bill. Since Mouncey’s arguments are substantively similar to other activist hyperventilations on this subject, it provides a good specimen to pull apart so we can correct some factual errors, arrest the spin and inject common sense back into this important public debate.
Transgender athlete Hannah Mouncey, is planning to muscle into the 1st grade women’s AFL in Canberra. Mouncey is a 6’2 very strong biological male who identifies as a woman. Legal action is pending if the officials won’t meet demands.

Right now, Australian law does not clearly recognise biological sex.
