A public servant mislead the NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell last week, falsely indicating a radical gender ideology program had been pulled. The NSW Education Standards Authority has admitted the program is still available. It is unclear whether the person responsible will be sacked.
The NSW government have been caught out. Again. They promised to ban “Safe Schools” programs but instead are imposing them on students via the back door.
Universities are meant to be a place of higher learning where critical thinking and debate is encouraged. Being exposed to ideas, learning how to challenge them and draw informed conclusions should be the goal. Unfortunately universities have become breeding grounds for cancel culture and censorship of anything that causes the slightest offence.
