The ABC and the ACT Children’s Court have blatantly disregarded the facts in the case of a violent child sex offender.
On 22 October 2021, the ACT government released a discussion paper, soliciting input on their suggested reforms to the ACT’s discrimination law. The paper, “INCLUSIVE, PROGRESSIVE, EQUAL”, proposes some sweeping changes which, if implemented, would shroud the liberties of ACT residents in legal uncertainty.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr has announced he will look into favouring trans rights over the coming year. He has instructed lawmakers to examine where discrimination against trans people might exist.
